Rachel was born and raised in Toronto and has lived here her entire life. She completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours at York University while working full-time in Rogers Publishing, followed by a Bachelor of Education at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
Rachel currently directs a national non-profit organization working to increase youth involvement in Canadian politics. In this role, she has presented before parliamentary committee, executed numerous community engagement and activism campaigns, and has worked closely with current Members of Parliament and Senators.
An active Conservative Party member, Rachel attended the CPC Convention in Halifax, serves on the executive board of a Conservative Party EDA and was delighted to represent her riding at last year's A Remarkable Event, celebrating the 100th anniversary of women's right to vote at the Ontario Legislature. She has spent much of 2018 selling CPC memberships across York Centre.
Rachel is deeply committed to improving the lives of others through community building and volunteer work. She is honoured to be an alumna of the Philos Project's prestigious Leadership Institute, promoting positive engagement and pluralism in the Middle East. She was deeply impacted by a time of fact-finding in Israel and Jordan this summer to discover how to support peace in Israel and throughout the Middle East.
Rachel is married to a Toronto Police Officer and is a proud mother to a young son and daughter. She is committed to building a stronger Canada not only for today but for future generations as well.
